In Spain, World Children’s Day is celebrated on 20th November. Last week we spent the day creating a fun ikebana arrangement, to celebrate children’s rights.
Looking for interesting material to use for an arrangement, we came across the colourful magnetic alphabet on our fridge. My daughters were reminded of the “right to education” and decided that they would like to incorporate the letters in an arrangement.
My daughters used coloured anodised wire to bind the letters together. They placed the wire in their selected vase and created movement and depth by adjusting the shape of the wire.
In keeping with the idea of a fun arrangement, they chose a bright yellow pompom chrysanthemum, to create a focal point with a pop of colour.
